Drawing in the morning
Stayed on the boat last night after a wonderful, successful theatre show. And drew some pictures of the morning light. It's unbelievably hot at the moment.

Cleaning out the duck house
Absolutely filthy job, but we did it. Put down rosemary bedding instead of hay. Ducks have a new bed, and we have duck manure for the vegetable bed.

Fifteen rehearsal
Had a rehearsal with Pradeep at the Space arts centre at the Isle of Dogs this morning. Thank you Val Phoenix for documenting it. Thank you Matthew for coming to help with the technical side and for driving us and helping with the direction. The poster that the publicity person did for the play also looks excellent. All amazingly good.

Walking to Eltham
Matt and I went on my fave local walk. I picked rose hips for the ducks and gave them great big handfuls. They really scoff them up. Solly joined in our foraging and found some chips. We also asked at the stables and they said we could take manure for our garden, no problem.
Elderberry muffins
Hmmm picked some elderberries yesterday and made some muffins. They're coloured very dark. They don't taste of much. I was a bit nervous baking with them because of the reputation of elderberries to be poisonous so I boiled them up before putting them in the mix. Don't think this was a good idea as all the sweet and sour tastes all mingled together to create bland. The seeds are rather crunchy like raspberries but that doesn't really bother me.
Filmmaking at HAckney Wick
I've been filming some poetry readings at Hackney Wick with my excellent filmmaker chum Val Phoenix. Copying the rushes over now. We're making a film to show in the gallery with my Reuters exhibition in November at Woolfson and Tay bookshop in Bermondsey.

Forgot to post about my first Clearspot that I did for Resonance FM, a whole hour of World News Vision. Can't wait to do another. Hope they let me ...
Val and film-making
This afternoon Val Phoenix came round and we went up on the hill to make some little films. I wore a gas mask and used a large fan and ran about. I also rode my bike round in circles. Was fun! The results will be posted on youtube shortly. Must edit ...
