Matt Groening

has just complimented mine and Matt's music for Clive Bell's lovely animated short 'Girls and Boys'. Matt and I did this earlier in the year in a real rush job. Clive put it in for the 'Film of the Month' competition on the site Shooting People which was judged by the creator of the Simpsons.

Matt Groening said "The memorable music by Jude Cowan Montague and Matt Armstrong support the weird goings-on, and make the cartoon great for multiple viewings. Well
done!"

I feel kind of smug and gratified.

Writing an animation score for a friend of a friend

I'm writing a little score on ukelele for an animation film to a brief. It's fun. Hopefully Matt will help me record it later.
