I've just heard that I've been selected to read from my book 'For the Messengers' at Chorlton Arts Festival this year. Cool.

Jude Cowan Montague is an artist. Since 2014 she has run 'The News Agents', the Saturday afternoon news-arts hybrid show for Resonance FM.

She is an award-winning printmaker and published poet. Having worked at Reuters Television News for ten years she reinterprets international stories in poetry.

For the Messengers (Donut Press, 2011) is dedicated to Fadel Shana the Reuters photojournalist who tragically lost his life newsgathering in his home country of Gaza.

The poems look at Reuters news stories from 2008 including a tribute to Fadel, and various other feeds from the controversy of animal shelters in Iran to the opening ceremony of the Olympics in China.
