Writing a lyric about a tongue

I'm trying to collect feelings of 'tongue', as physical as possible, that feeling of alienation when you think about your tongue, and suddenly it doesn't seem like part of your mouth. I thought this could be a nice lyrical basis for a rather strange, textural piece of music. If you have any thoughts on this, ideas that I can use, I'd be glad if you could share them with me.

Ten Thousand Stories

I've written a slow song which evolves simply, over two ukulele chords, simple words that repeat. I like the way that the image builds slowly over the two verses and chorus. It's a love song but an oblique one.

Here are the lyrics:-

A house on a street
A room in a house
A bed in a room
A man on a bed
Ten thousand stories

A man on a bed
A bed in a room
A room in a house
A house on a street
Ten thousand stories

It's about a man I once saw sitting on a bed in a house, a long time ago. Now we're going out. So it's a memory of a first moment of love. A feeling that at that time came to nothing.

The ten thousand stories refers to the many stories and possibilities we have inside each of us. We are fascinated by the stories in our lovers. I'm fascinated by the stories inside my boyfriend. So it must be love.

Tram 41

This demo is now available on my myspace page.

It's the last song on the player - at present the site is not allowing users to tinker with the order of their song lists.

The picture is of a tram in the Kingsway underpass. It's number 31. Close enough.

Tramcar 41

Ah, the final lyrical piece has arrived this morning and the secret of the song is suddenly revealed.

Where are they going,
where were they from,

passengers electrified
on tramcar 41?

How to punctuate these lines causes me a bit of a dilemma - the above version makes the most grammatical sense - but the below makes more song sense:-

Where are they going,
where were they from?

Passengers electrified
on tramcar 41.

Anyone got any thoughts on punctuation when writing out lyrics as opposed to poetry?
